About The Opportunity
Programmed is looking for a passionate Grounds Person to join our dedicated close-knit team, working at the beautiful Burswood Park to deliver exceptional maintenance services to our valued customer. This is more than just a job – It’s a long-term career opportunity with stability, growth, and plenty of perks.
Within a supportive team environment, you will be responsible for caring for, maintaining, and developing customer sites and associated facilities, using professional horticultural techniques in accordance with approved plans, policies and hours allocated.
This is a Full-time position working Monday to Friday, with the option for Overtime hours on the weekend.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating commercial mowers (out-front and wide area) and small plant equipment.
- Managing weed and pest control through spraying and manual weeding.
- Perform horticultural tasks like pruning, hedging, mulching and planting.
- Using brush cutters, blowers, and edgers to keep spaces pristine.
- Ensuring all sites are maintained to the highest standard.
- Prioritising safety by following all HSEQ processes and procedures.
About You
To join our team, ideally, you will have experience in gardening/landscaping and public open space maintenance, with a passion for providing quality work and a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others. Additionally, you will have:
- A current driver's license and white card (required)
- Basic First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- Horticulture/Turf Management Qualifications (desirable)
- Previous experience in horticulture, parks and gardens maintenance and/or mowing operations.
- A professional approach to the workplace.
- The ability to execute work to a high standard.
- A strong commitment to and understanding of quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management systems.
