The Project

CPB Contractors has been selected by the South Australian Government to deliver three important projects under the Port Wakefield to Port Augusta Projects Alliance (PW2PA)

Your Opportunity

We are currently seeking applications from Safety Advisors to join us on PW2PA Project. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile Infrastructure Project as part of one of Australia’s most highly regarded construction companies.

As Safety Advisor, you will be accountable for:

  • Providing a timely and responsible S&H service
  • Establishing health and safety objectives
  • Mentoring and coaching personnel to drive a culture of "Safety and Health above all else"
  • Assisting in on site face to face inductions.
  • Assisting in investigating incidents and accidents, and responding with corrective actions
  • Monitoring S&H performance and ensuring compliance with S&H policy, procedures and legislative requirements
  • Conducting regular inspections and audits
  • Assisting in the development and analysis of hazard and risk identification processes, and the application of suitable controls
  • Conducting or facilitating safety and well being educational programs
  • Assisting with reporting requirements as required
  • Ensuring a current understanding of all relevant legislation is maintained at all times

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Ideally, 5+ years' experience in a site-based role
  • Ideally, a Diploma-level qualification in a relevant safety discipline
  • Robust understanding of WHS Act and Regulations
  • Experience in Safety Management System implementation
  • Significant experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to build relationships and influence people at all levels
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, and attention to detail
  • Computer literacy
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Minimum certificate 4 in OH&S management
