About the role

As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in delivering a comprehensive range of professional services, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for both inpatients and outpatients. Your expertise will enable you to provide efficient dispensing, clinical support, and counselling services, optimising drug therapy and enhancing overall medication management. You will work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals, offering valuable drug and therapeutic advice that adheres to hospital policies, SA Health guidelines, and legislative requirements.

Educational/Vocational Qualifications

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent
• Registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia

To Be Successful:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Pharmacist. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills that will contribute to our commitment to quality patient care.

• Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively engage with patients and healthcare teams.
• Proven ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently, using initiative to tackle challenges.
• Solid understanding of clinical pharmacy practice, including drug dispensing, patient counselling, and pharmacy procedures.
• Familiarity with Pharmacy Acts and legislation, coupled with good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Essential Requirements:

• Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
• Working With Children Check (DHS)
• Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
