About the Role:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in empowering our patients to regain their independence and quality of life. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing their functional abilities, developing personalised treatment plans, and providing tailored interventions to enhance their daily living skills. From assistive equipment recommendations to home modifications, your contributions will go beyond the hospital setting, ensuring a seamless transition to their home environments.

Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, you will collaborate closely to deliver holistic, patient-centred care. Your strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients and their families will be essential in fostering trust and achieving successful rehabilitation outcomes.

To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.

Lyell McEwin Hospital The major hospital in the north and north-east for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetrics, paediatrics and outpatient services.

Modbury Hospital A general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
