We’re looking for health professionals to join us as we open a new, state-of-the-art Mental Health Rehabilitation Service (MHRS) at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH).

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Administration Officer to join the multidisciplinary mental health team within the MHRS. In this essential role, you will provide vital administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our mental health services, contributing to the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation. Working alongside inpatient, community, and rehabilitation services, you will help promote consumer recovery, independence, and social inclusion. Your responsibilities will include maintaining client records, scheduling appointments, managing enquiries, and liaising with staff, consumers, and external services.

About You

You are a highly organised and proactive professional with a passion for supporting mental health services. With strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to delivering high-quality administrative support.

You will have:

  • Strong Administrative & Technical Skills – Proficient in Microsoft Office, with high-level keyboard and computing skills, data entry experience, and knowledge of general office procedures.
  • Exceptional Communication & Customer Service – Confident in managing high-volume calls, handling enquiries with tact and empathy, and supporting distressed clients in sensitive situations.
  • Adaptability & Problem-Solving – Able to prioritise tasks, work under pressure, use initiative, and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
  • Team-Oriented & Ethical – Works collaboratively within a team, upholds confidentiality, and demonstrates a commitment to diversity, ethical conduct, and workplace safety.
