About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS team as a Senior Speech Pathologist, where you will be responsible for:

  • Providing specialist speech pathology services to children, adolescents, and families with complex mental health needs.
  • Delivering speech pathology services in forensic mental health care settings, including in-reach to Kurlana Tapa Youth Justice Centre and community-based Adolescent Sexual Assault Prevention Program (ASAPP).
  • Leading clinical practice and collaborating within multidisciplinary and interagency teams.
  • Supervising and supporting speech pathology staff.
  • Conducting assessments and screenings in Youth Justice and community settings.
  • Contributing to quality, safety, and service development across CAMHS.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Ability to Communicate and work with other professionals, facilitate group functions and work as a team member
  • Ability to work with a high degree of responsibility with limited supervision and direction.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal forms.
  • Extensive clinical experience in the delivery of speech pathology services to children and adolescents accessing mental health services
  • Extensive experience in the area of supervision of clinical staff
