Step into a flexible role where you’ll support Enrolled and Registered Nurses/Midwives in delivering high-quality patient care. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop your skills, and make a meaningful contribution across a variety of care settings.

About the Role:

As an Assistant in Nursing, you will provide essential support in general patient and client care, undertaking basic nursing duties that would otherwise be performed by an Enrolled or Registered Nurse/Midwife. You will work as a valued member of the care team and remain accountable for your own actions while delivering safe, compassionate, and effective support.

What We’re Looking For:

• Be employed on the basis that the person is or will be, undertaking a course approved by the Registration Authority for the preparation of Enrolled or Registered Nursing and has completed any training required by the employer relevant to the safe and competent performance of work at this level.
• Experience, within the boundaries of their education and skill preparation, in the provision of nursing/midwifery care in the healthcare setting in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
• Experience working with Aboriginal consumers.

• DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check
• National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
• Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A
