Join SA Health as a Senior Occupational Therapist and make a real difference in the lives of older adults experiencing mental health challenges across Adelaide's southern communities. This full-time contract position until July 2026 offers the opportunity to deliver specialised community-based interventions while working alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team at the Repat Health Precinct. About the role: 

Reporting to the Team Manager, some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Providing occupational therapy assessments for community support needs/services
  • Working closely and developing effective partnerships with government and non-government agencies that may be involved in consumer care
  • Providing mental health discipline specific assessments and interventions to enhance consumer’s living skills, functional and occupational capacity
  • Drawing on occupational therapy expertise when contributing to clinical review and service planning processes
  • Providing clinical leadership, including allocating work priorities in the absence of the Team Manager, as required

About you:

  • Clinical experience in the provision of evidence based mental health Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions
  • High level of competence in the provision of a range of mental health occupational therapy assessments, evidence-based therapeutic interventions and skills including individual and group work
  • Advanced skills in undertaking a comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment, including mental state and risk assessments of consumers presenting with high or complex needs
  • Experience in the provision of supervision to Occupational Therapists
