Analytics Product Owner

The Opportunity

Be part of a critical team that offers cutting edge translation and alignment of business data strategies through business process design. Reporting to the Analytics Engagement Manager, this role will support the delivery of the strategic data capabilities across Cleanaway. You will work closely with resources within the Data & Analytics team such as engineers, analysts, architects, technical subject matter experts whilst keeping strong alignment between business stakeholder requirements and program imperatives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with SMEs to analyse and understand business requirements, translate them to data requirements, and develop and maintain a vision and plan for the data products to align with business outcomes.
  • Prepare materials to ensure effective communication of requirements and/or explain future changes to the landscape
  • Empower users to unlock new insights to drive meaningful decisions
  • Lead completion of funded initiatives with squads and ensure completion within agreed funding and resource limits
  • Identify and monitor metrics to measure and improve return on investment for D&A products
  • Ensure regulatory and statutory requirements are met as priority and addresses risks


About You

If you are a dynamic and ‘out-of-the-box’ thinker who is commercially astute and strategically focused, then we need you!

  • Demonstrated experience preparing business requirements documents
  • Significant experience supporting technical business analysts to translate business requirements and support squads through delivery
  • Experience in the ability to design dynamic self-service frameworks and business -facing semantic layers
  • Proven experience in developing presentation materials to simplify the message of a technical concept
  • Ability to keep deliverables on track and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Skills in PowerBI and SQL
  • Experience/knowledge of data governance frameworks will be valued
  • Experience in Agile methodology
