TOMRA Cleanaway is proud to have been appointed as the Network Operator for the incoming Tasmanian Container Refund Scheme, ‘Recycle Rewards’ commencing mid-2025. Operating across Tasmania, at the heart of what we do is developing meaningful, local partnerships that generate active community participation in container deposit schemes. This is achieved by deploying a network that is focused on consumer convenience and accessibility and leverages existing behaviours, making it easy for the community.

Your new role

Based in Tasmania with an expectation of a hybrid working available from our Hobart office and home, you are an experienced marketing and stakeholder engagement professional, highly motivated to make change and deliver a world class container refund scheme for the community. Working in a small but effective Team of sustainability marketing professionals, you are happy to take over and undertake any task you are directed to as well as lead and guide initiatives. You are used to working on multi-channel projects that deliver targeted messaging to specific stakeholders.

  • You are comfortable working with government including state and local level to ensure outcomes are achieved;
  • You're committed to building and implementing effective and fit for purpose communication, marketing and engagement plans for a wide audience across varying demographics;
  • Balancing stakeholders and delivering proactive solutions for internal & external stakeholders whilst ensuring contract compliance is not out of the bounds of your experience;
  • You're commercially astute with a business development flair, capable of identifying opportunities to deliver commercial value to business through existing & new networks.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Public relations/communications, marketing or stakeholder engagement qualifications.
  • Sound computer skills, familiar with the Microsoft Office suite and other design packages such as Adobe Suite, including some form of desktop publishing is advantageous.
  • Social media and digital channel management & development including Hootsuite, Canva and project management tools like Monday.com.
  • Familiarity with use of CRM's such as Salesforce advantageous.
