The Opportunity
Based in Malaga, WA, The Key Account Manager – Business Development is responsible for meeting agreed individual sales budgets, targets & KPI’s by providing best-in-class account management to existing Cleanaway customers in alignment with our Sales Strategy. The KAM, must execute 2 pillars of our Cleanaway Sales Strategy, ‘Grow’ & ‘Retain’ by achieving profitable revenue growth through maximizing contract terms & prices and optimizing share of wallet growth by providing customers with Total Waste Management solutions. (Mid-market $100K – $1m annual spend)
- Develop strategic relationships with customers and industry participants and proactively source share of wallet opportunities for Cleanaway’s suite of services
- Keep abreast of competitor activity and maintain up to date database of relevant information in Salesforce
- Ensure all reporting is submitted as required including opportunity pipeline, competitor activity, and market intelligence
- Maintain Sales Pipeline to retain & grow customer portfolio value as set through Tender responses & quotes
- Ensure price increases and contract terms and conditions are applied as contracted
About You
Ideally, you will have a record of sales success in a commercial/ industrial B2B environment, with demonstrable negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strong customer service and/or stakeholder management skills in large & complex environments
- Proven experience in building share of wallet services & revenue within existing client portfolios
- Proven ability to manage time and competing priorities effectively
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills (ability to write and present tender responses)
- Commercial acumen with experience in leveraging volume and price positively
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders (internal/external)
