The Opportunity:

Do you thrive in roles where you can make a real difference and drive positive change? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Health and Safety Business Partner!

About the Role:


In this role, you’ll travel to sites across regional Victoria and Tasmania, working closely with teams to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promoting a strong safety culture. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert guidance and support to our construction and demolition sites, helping them navigate safety regulations and implement risk management strategies.
  • Collaborating with teams to identify hazards, assess risks, and develop robust controls.
  • Maintaining and updating risk registers to ensure all risks are documented and managed.
  • Supporting continuous improvement of our HSE Management Standards to reflect industry best practices.
  • Assisting in thorough investigations of HSE incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing preventive measures.

About You:


You’re a proactive and experienced safety professional with a deep understanding of the unique challenges a blue-collar industry. You’re passionate about fostering a culture of safety and know how to engage with stakeholders at all levels to promote best practices. Ideally, you will have:

  • Have experience in high risk/blue collar environments
  • Possess a proactive mindset, constantly seeking ways to enhance safety practices and build a positive safety culture.
  • Be skilled in engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels, from frontline workers to contractors.
  • Be confident in stopping work if unsafe conditions arise and finding practical solutions.
  • Be committed to continuous improvement, driving sustainable, safe work practices across multiple sites.
  • Have a solid understanding of health and safety regulations and standards, and the ability to apply them in real-world settings.

This role offers the chance to make a real impact on safety within Cleanaway's Construction and Demolition team, with travel to regional Victoria and Tasmania to support teams across these critical sites.
