The Opportunity
We’re looking for a dedicated professional to oversee the monitoring, maintenance, and management of landfill gas and leachate systems across our facilities. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring environmental compliance while optimizing operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Regularly monitor landfill gas collection systems, including gas extraction wells, and gas utilization equipment.
- Conduct leachate level measurements and sampling for analysis, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on landfill gas and leachate systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of gas and leachate data, prepare reports, and assist with regulatory submissions.
- Collaborate with contractors and other operations teams to implement improvements and upgrades to systems.
- Ensure all operations comply with environmental regulations and Cleanaway’s safety standards.
About You
- Hands-on experience in landfill gas operations, gas management, leachate systems, or piping systems is highly desirable.
- Strong technical skills, particularly in operating and maintaining piping and gas collection and destruction systems such as flares.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations related to landfill operations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
