The Opportunity
Our Environment and Regularity team are searching for 2 Environment Business Partners to join their Victorian team based in Dandenong.
You will partner with Cleanaway’s businesses to provide specialist environmental support to our Victorian Operations teams in the implementation of the national and local environmental program of works and risk management strategies. Partnering closely with operational teams you will take the lead on specific site-based environmental initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for:
- Continuous improvement initiatives to minimise the impact on air, water, and land and ensure our environmental obligations are met
- Support the business with external and internal audits
- Working with key stakeholders to develop and implement intervention initiatives
- Assisting with the development of environmental applications and approvals
- Investigation of significant environmental incidents
- Analysis of data and information to inform performance improvement
About You
An environment specialist and detail-driven, you are a capable communicator who enjoys working in a collaborative environment across operations and corporate teams. You thrive in providing mutually beneficial solutions. Ideally, you will possess the following.
- A Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in resource recovery, reuse and waste management
- Experience in conducting Incident investigations, identifying root cause analysis while working in a risk-based approach (accredited ICAM facilitator is desirable)
- Prior experience in progressing environmental initiatives and programs
- A working knowledge of VIC environmental legislation
- Excellent verbal, written communication and report-writing skills
