The Role

We’re currently looking for a motivated individual to join our Oils team at the Wetherill Park Refinery as a Refinery Process Operator. You’ll become part of a positive, inclusive team that values collaboration, development, and contribution.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate and monitor refinery equipment and processing systems
• Safely transfer and handle materials across the site
• Perform waste sample analysis and support safe, clean operations
• Assist with troubleshooting and ensure consistent plant performance
• Participate in start-up and shutdown of systems
• Complete documentation, data entry, and work permit processes

• Physically able and comfortable with elevated work areas

What You’ll Bring:

• A proactive mindset, mechanical aptitude, and a strong desire to learn
• Background in engineering, plant processing, process manufacturing, or chemical/liquid storage and handling is highly desirable
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
• Confidence with basic maths and English
• Availability for 6–8 weeks of full-time paid training (Mon–Fri, 7am–3pm)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screening
• Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one)
• Experience with chemical handling is a plus
