The Opportunity

Be part of the team delivering critical infrastructure and technology projects.

We are seeking a high-performing Procurement Specialist to support the delivery of major engineering, infrastructure and ICT initiatives across the business. This role sits within the Engineering & Infrastructure Projects category, partnering closely with project teams to drive strategic sourcing, commercial outcomes, and long-term supplier value.

You will play a key role in shaping procurement strategies, managing complex sourcing activities, and ensuring the business achieves best-value outcomes across major capital and technology investments.

In this role, you will:

• Support the development and execution of category strategies that deliver long-term value and competitive advantage.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure and ICT stakeholders to plan and execute strategic sourcing activities for major projects.
• Lead RFx processes, develop commercial evaluation models, and support contract negotiations to secure best-value outcomes.
• Develop total cost of ownership models, scenario analysis, and market insights to inform procurement decisions.
• Manage supplier relationships and support the delivery of preferred supplier programs.
• Conduct contract and spend reviews to drive performance, governance, and cost optimisation.
• Identify opportunities to leverage scale across engineering, infrastructure and ICT categories.
• Support both strategic procurement initiatives and business-as-usual sourcing activities.

 

About you

You are commercially minded, analytically strong, and confident engaging with stakeholders across technical and commercial teams. You enjoy solving complex problems and working in a fast-paced environment where procurement plays a critical role in delivering major projects.

You will bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, supply chain, engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain.
• Exposure to engineering, infrastructure, construction, or ICT procurement categories (highly desirable).
• Strong understanding of category management and strategic sourcing methodologies.
• Experience developing quantitative and qualitative evaluation models for RFx processes.
• Demonstrated experience across the contract lifecycle — drafting, negotiation, execution, and supplier management.
• Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data and build cost models to support commercial decision-making.
