The ImagingNMD (INMD) UF research team brings researchers from across the University of Florida campus, industry, and other institutions in a collaborative effort to advance the understanding and treatment of neuromuscular diseases, including Duchenne, Beckers, and Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophies. This team facilitates clinical research studies and trials focused on neuromuscular diseases and is engaged in national and international collaborative research efforts. The INMD network is seeking a diligent, detail-oriented, and experienced individual to serve as the Clinical Research Coordinator II for these critical clinical research studies. This full-time position within the Department of Physical Therapy, College of Public Health and Health Professions is located in UF’s Clinical Translational Research Building. The incumbent will work closely with principal investigators (PIs) and faculty to facilitate the implementation of research activities for both industry and NIH-sponsored clinical studies, focusing on interventional and non-interventional trials related to muscular dystrophy. The incumbent will collaborate with principal investigators to coordinate participant assessments and maintain data collection records for multiple federally and industry-sponsored clinical trials. As part of the ImagingNMD network, the Clinical Research Coordinator II works closely with investigators, physicians, nurses, and other key personnel to ensure compliance with protocol requirements. Primary responsibilities include coordinating clinical research activities of the ImagingNMD network, assisting in developing procedural manuals, scheduling research participants, facilitating study protocols, training research assistants, and maintaining regulatory compliance. The incumbent will also serve as the primary liaison with national and international imaging sites and maintain vendor regulatory and participant visit documents.

The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition in the Department of Pediatrics, University of Florida, is in need of a Research Coordinator II to fill an integral role in a multifaceted clinical research program. The intestinal rehabilitation program is a multidisciplinary team that includes gastroenterologists, surgeons, and neonatologists. Active projects include an institutional registry and participation in the International Intestinal failure registry. The individual will also support the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) program within the division. They will be responsible for maintaining registries and providing reports to faculty and ImproveCareNow (ICN). ImproveCareNow is a collaborative community where clinicians, researchers, patients, and parents are empowered to learn and continuously improve to bring about more reliable, proactive IBD care for healthier children and youth. Participation of both registries are an important matrix used in determining ranking by the USNews & World Report. Participation in these learning networks have been shown to improve patient outcomes. The primary focus will include supporting the newly funded International Intestinal Failure registry and the ICN registry. The coordinator will also assist the principal investigator to develop a registry at the University of Florida intestinal rehabilitation program and will be responsible for recruiting, enrolling, and lab management duties related to these studies. Applicants should have experience or be willing to learn academic office/clinical research management and be proficient with common office-based software applications (MS products, Adobe, etc.). Applicants who have experience in the study of children, and other clinical populations may be preferred. Basic familiarity with academic IRB and human subjects research is preferred. Ability to work independently, and occasional atypical hours, is required.
