20th and 21st Century Global Anglophone Visiting Search

| Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a full-time, one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of English in twentieth- and twenty-first global Anglophone literature, beginning July 2026. The candidate may focus on one or more specific regions (e.g. the Caribbean, Africa, South Asia) or on transnational networks or orientations (e.g. the Global South, Global Indigenous, the transatlantic, or the transpacific). We particularly encourage applications from candidates who are also practicing creative nonfiction or fiction writers.
The teaching requirement will be 3:2 or 2:3 and will include courses at all levels of our curriculum. Visiting faculty also contribute to departmental life. Evidence of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level is required. Ph.D. preferred, but applicants who are ABD will be considered. We seek a broadly trained earth scientist with an interest in contributing to an interdisciplinary department and expertise in a range of fields, including (but not limited to) environmental geology, physical geography, climate science, or geochemistry/biogeochemistry.
