Kenyon College Teacher-Scholar Science Fellowship Gambier, OH
Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, where academic excellence goes hand in hand with a strong sense of community, invites applications for a Teacher-Scholar Fellowship in the sciences, beginning July 1st 2026. The Kenyon College Teacher-Scholar Fellowship in the sciences program is for scholars who have recently completed their doctoral work (no more than five years past the PhD graduation date) and are at the postdoctoral level. We hope the experience of teaching, researching, and living for two years at Kenyon will encourage these Teacher-Scholars to consider a liberal arts college as a place to begin their careers as teachers and scholars. Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology Gambier, OH
Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Sociology at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2026. Faculty responsibilities include teaching a 3/2 course load over two semesters and informal advising of students, all in person on our campus in Gambier, Ohio. Courses to be taught include introduction to sociology; mid-level subfield survey courses appropriate for sophomores and juniors, and intermediate or upper-level seminars in the candidate’s area of expertise. Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry Gambier, OH

20th and 21st Century Global Anglophone Visiting Search Gambier, OH
Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a full-time, one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of English in twentieth- and twenty-first global Anglophone literature, beginning July 2026. The candidate may focus on one or more specific regions (e.g. the Caribbean, Africa, South Asia) or on transnational networks or orientations (e.g. the Global South, Global Indigenous, the transatlantic, or the transpacific). We particularly encourage applications from candidates who are also practicing creative nonfiction or fiction writers. The teaching requirement will be 3:2 or 2:3 and will include courses at all levels of our curriculum. Visiting faculty also contribute to departmental life. Evidence of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level is required. Ph.D. preferred, but applicants who are ABD will be considered. Visiting Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies Gambier, OH
Kenyon College invites applications for a two-year visiting position in the Environmental Studies Department beginning in July 2026. We seek a broadly trained earth scientist with an interest in contributing to an interdisciplinary department and expertise in a range of fields, including (but not limited to) environmental geology, physical geography, climate science, or geochemistry/biogeochemistry. Teaching expectations are five courses per year (labs count toward this load), and may include Earth Systems Science, introductory lecture and laboratory courses, and new upper-level courses in the applicant’s area of expertise. Candidates must have expertise in the art, architecture, and visual culture of any geographic region in pre-1900 Asia and possess a demonstrated ability and desire to teach courses in many areas of Asian art.
