
Join our supportive Midwifery Group Practice team in North West Tasmania, where you'll provide exceptional care to women and families throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postnatal journey. As a Registered Midwife with our Hospitals, you'll work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver continuity of care models that put women at the centre of their birthing experience. Our group practice approach ensures you're never working alone while maintaining the autonomy that makes midwifery so rewarding.
What You'll Do:
- Provide comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care
- Support women making informed choices about their birth experience
- Collaborate with obstetricians, GPs, and allied health professionals
- Mentor junior staff and students in clinical practice
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development
What We're Looking For
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife
- Experience in midwifery practice across the continuum of care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to woman-centered care and evidence-based practice
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Details of appointment:
- Multiple permanent full time and part time, shift worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as you can join us. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary & Benefits
$80,524 – $109,175 per annum (pro rata) + 12% super (Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023).
Progression to Grade 4 ($102,439 – $109,175) available upon successful application.
