Position Function:
Serves as the primary contact for all property control functions in the High Performance Computing Collaborator (HPC2) and member institutions. Performs acquisition, inventory and disposal of all property (with a focus on information technology) in accordance with applicable university, state and federal policies and regulations. Provides and promotes superior customer service and outreach to facilitate HPC2 mission.

Department Profile:
The High Performance Computing Collaboratory (HPC²), an evolution of the MSU NSF Engineering Research Center (ERC) for Computational Field Simulation, at Mississippi State University is a coalition of member institutes and centers that share a common core objective of advancing the state-of-the-art in computational science and engineering using high performance computing; a common approach to research that embraces a multi-disciplinary, team-oriented concept; and a commitment to a full partnership between education, research, and service. The mission of the HPC² is to serve the University, State, and Nation through excellence in computational science and engineering.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Serves as department liaison to MSU Property Control and provides direct oversight of the HPC2’s property control management. This includes direct responsibility for managing property control for all HPC2 assets.
2. Performs property control functions, including equipment location, data entry, database management, and maintaining MSU and HPC2's inventory and bookkeeping systems. Additionally, performs related clerical and property management duties as needed.
3. Manages the entire lifecycle of HPC2 assets, including acquisition, receipt, distribution, transfer, and disposal, while ensuring timely and accurate reporting to federal, state, and MSU stakeholders.
4. Responsible for the coordination of property audits and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations.
5. Explores methods of inventory control and makes recommendations for improvements.
6. Assigns office space and issues keys in accordance with HPC2 policy.
7. Ensures HPC2 fleet is maintained and controlled in accordance with MSU policies.
8. Manages fuel PIN maintenance through MAFES and Fuelman by issuing and revoking access for employees as needed.
9. Manage maintenance and fuel records and enter into ReCoup (Property Control database system) in a timely manner to ensure proper reporting to the State of Mississippi.
10. Provides and prepares reports and analysis to ensure adherence to policy.
11. Provides and promotes a high level of customer service to all stakeholders.
12. Manages data base for forecasting IT asset demand and planning for increases and decreases in demand, including asset refresh schedules and software renewal cycle.
13. Oversees the sale of surplus HPC² assets through platforms like Gov-Deals, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals and generating financial returns for reinvestment into new equipment and initiatives.
14. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Three Years

1. Bachelor’s Degree in information technology or related field

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
1. Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
2. Job frequently requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping/kneeling/ crouching/
crawling, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
3. Job occasionally requires climbing or balancing and lifting more than 20 pounds.
