Required Qualifications and Education:
The Department is hiring a specialist in Bioethics, including medical ethics, for an assistant professor, tenure track position. Candidates are required to have Ph.D. in philosophy.  ABD will be considered with Ph.D, completed by August 31, 2018. The department seeks applicants who can fulfill our teaching needs in Professional Ethics. 

Preferred Qualifications and Education: 
We prefer candidates with a solid grounding in history of philosophy and a commitment to excellent teaching in the tradition of liberal education. We have additional teaching needs in aesthetics and feminist philosophy. 

Responsibilities – Essential Functions: 
3 courses/semester, undergraduate, expectation of active scholarship, usual non-teaching duties. Summer teaching possible.
