Required Qualifications and Education: Qualifications include a Master's degree or higher in a relevant field, evidence of administrative experience, as well as ability and commitment to teach the interdisciplinary PSM course on Professional Science Practice. This position requires an energetic and self-directed person who will provide support to faculty and students in the programs and work with local business community to develop internship opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications and Education: Academic and/or industrial experience in a field representing one of the GVSU PSM programs. Education in Biostatistics, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Medical and Bioinformatics is desirable.

Responsibilities - Essential Functions: Coordinating the activities of GVSU's Professional Science Master's programs: Biostatistics; Biotechnology, Data Science and Analytics, and Medical & Bioinformatics. Responsibilities include: 1) actively developing and managing internship sites; 2) monitoring internship progress and internship course requirements; 3) teaching a course in Professional Science Practice; 4) scheduling and staffing of PSM courses, as well as supporting the coordination of courses across the programs; 5) spearheading marketing and recruitment efforts; 6) coordinating with the Program Directors to manage and respond to inquiries from current and potential students; 7) facilitating clear and timely communication and cooperation between the programs and other university components; 8) managing assessment data collection and coordinating with Program Directors for periodic reports; and 9) participating in nationwide PSM activities.
