Assistant Track and Field Coach - Athletics

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three years of competitive track & field coaching experience.
  • Planning year-long training/teaching track & field technique throws or jumps.
  • Strong commitment to academic achievement.
  • Strong knowledge of NCAA rules.
  • Successful commitment, knowledge and experience with the recruiting process.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Over four years of college track & field coaching experience.
  • Experience with meet management (hosting meets, Hy-Tek, Direct Athletics), travel planning, camp/clinic oversight and fundraising.


Reports to the Head Coach of Track & Field and assists with all phases of the program.
Duties include:

  • Practice oversite of throws or jumps
  • Recruiting of all aspects of event group
  • Home meet management
  • Travel planning/coordination
  • Academic oversight
  • Assist with fundraising
  • Other duties assigned by head coach
  • Must be able to work summers, nights and weekends

Salary:  Salary is commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefit package is included. This is a 12-month contract.
