Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY:

Participates as a core Team Member to produce high-quality Foundation fundraising events and initiatives. Establishes successful relationships with Foundation donors and non-profit partners and serves as a positive representation of the Foundation. Contributes to the overall success of the Foundation’s grantmaking goals. Uses initiative and good judgment; works independently with little supervision and maintains strict confidentiality.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage day-to-day operations for the Universal Orlando Foundation. Develop and distribute mailings and general correspondence, process and manage internal paperwork. Manage and track Foundation financial invoicing, grant payments and donations and serve as key contact with Finance team for daily operations.
  • Serve as part of the core team that produces Foundation special events. Tasks include managing auction data and auction software, maintaining event RSVP lists and managing event registration, communicating with event guests and general event support.
  • Manage Foundation MicroEdge GIFTS Online. Manage communication for grantees throughout application and reporting process. Manage data for all grants. Manage UGive grant process, over 110 organizations. Record minutes and prepare data for grant review committee meetings.
  • Serves as key contact for 46 Foundation partners and additional sponsors. Manage financial process and data for partner pledges, payments, contact information and more. Fulfill special requests.
  • Serves as liaison to Foundation non-profit partners in support of larger grant initiatives including Art of Tomorrow, Bites, Camera Action, and Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative.
  • Oversees marketing and communications process, developing content and maintaining timeline for Foundation collateral. Develop communication regarding Foundation impact through Workplace Giving Campaign.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations or Communications is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ year community relations experience is required with an emphasis on charitable giving / non-profit organizations preferred.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task.
  • Effective verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact with and influence all levels of the organization, partner with external organizations effectively.
  • Strong project management skills.
