Overview:
This position is part of the Corporate Programs and Strategic Initiatives (CRSI) and works under the direction of the department administrators. This position participates in multiple on-campus settings, portraying professional workers and other key characters in support of corporate training simulations and exercises.
Responsibilities:
Provide acting talent services to the CRSI department. Under the direction of CRSI administrators, portray simulated characters in a manner that supports learning objectives in various scenes, scenarios and exercises. Receive feedback from simulation faculty and alter character portrayal as directed. Engage in training and rehearsals as scheduled. Adhere to department & school guidelines, and University policies. Other tasks as relevant to the duties of the position or assigned by the supervisor or supervisor’s designee.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Required: Currently enrolled in an academic program and in good academic standing at RMU.
 
Preferred: Prior experience in acting, improv or healthcare simulation. Or, a combination of equivalent education and/or experience.
 
Certifications and Licenses Required: None.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Effective organizational skills.
Ability to learn and apply applicable University and other policies using problem-solving skills.
Ability to exercise flexibility when dealing with co-workers and dynamic simulation interactions.
Strong orientation towards continued learning and applying learning in the work setting.
Ability to work independently but also to constructively receive supervisory direction and work collaboratively in a team setting. Comfortable talking and interacting with campus community members.
Ability to exercise excellent judgement.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong, effective interpersonal skills.
Reliable with strong work ethic and high level of personal accountability.
Proficiency with technology/computers and applications, at level of proficiency required of the duties of this position.
Ability to quickly learn and use new technologies and applications in depth at the level of proficiency required of duties of the position. Ability to establish effective working relationships, professional rapport, and effectively accomplish work within a University setting that includes a wide array of individuals, groups, policies and processes.
Competence with and commitment to diversity and inclusion; ability to be an effective partner with diverse students, faculty, and staff.
