Overview:
The Office of Academic Outreach and Impact seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Student Assistant to provide support for various administrative functions and outreach initiatives. This role is ideal for a student looking to gain hands-on experience in academic outreach, event coordination, and office management.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities: Administrative Functions: Assist with general office duties as necessary Organize and maintain files and documents, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Perform data entry and update records as needed. Outreach Initiatives and Events: Support the planning and execution of outreach, career development and veteran and military families programming and events, including setting up materials and managing logistics. Assist with the promotion of events through various communication channels. Engage with attendees and provide on-site support during events. Record Keeping: Maintain and update records using Microsoft Excel, including tracking outreach activities, attendance, and other relevant data. Prepare reports and summaries as requested by the team. Additional Duties: Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by supervisors. Provide support to other team members as needed to ensure smooth operation of the office.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office software. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude and critical thinking skills.
