Overview:
Information Technology is looking for a motivated college student with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to support the day-to-day operations of the campus computer lab environment. Secondary responsibilities will include assisting with vulnerability management efforts and managing the university's Extended Detection and Response (XDR) platform.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the management and maintenance of the campus computer lab environment.  Secondary responsibilities include: identifying and remediating vulnerabilities on client systems using enterprise Extended Detection and Response (XDR) platform; assisting guests, students, faculty and staff in diagnosing issues with software and workstations; deploying software to workstations utilizing enterprise configuration management solutions; documenting system configurations and procedures. Must be available to work during the summer to prepare the computing environment for fall semesters.
Minimum Qualifications:
A current GPA of 3.0 or higher. Proven experience as a Help Desk Technician, System Administrator, or other entry level IT service role. Strong understanding of computer hardware and software. Experience with Windows operating systems. Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.). Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
