Schedule:

4-5 hours a week during fall and spring semesters, based around the employee's class schedule. Must be available during summer 2025. Summer 2025 hours will be between 4-10 hours weekly.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have strong customer service and problem-solving skills; attention to detail; and strong communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing. Must be able to work independently and be willing to ask questions as needed. Availability during summer term is required for summer of 2025.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Answer front line questions or direct and refer questions to appropriate members of the Graduate School staff
Receive and sort incoming mail
Utilize Student Information Systems (SIS), and graduate school databases for data entry
Protect confidentiality while working with student records (FERPA compliance)
Ad-hoc project requests
Other office duties as assigned by supervisor and Graduate School staff

Candidates should be available during the Spring and Fall semesters, with a preference for those who can also work in the summer. The position offers 4-10 hours per week, tailored to fit the student’s class schedule.

This role involves greeting and assisting visitors, addressing inquiries through various communication channels, and performing clerical tasks to support the Graduate School’s operations.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to work on a computer for an extended amount of time.
