We design and deliver leadership and organisational development experiences that strengthen Deakin’s culture, capability, people experience and performance. From skill-based programs to immersive development for leadership cohorts and executive coaching, we enable leaders and team members to grow, lead with purpose, and shape a positive and future-focused workforce.
Focus areas include:
- Inspiring Leaders – Growing Inspiring leaders through leadership development, coaching and mentoring and leadership assessment
- Capable People – Encouraging people to achieve and continuously improve through capability building and skills development programs, performance and feedback tools and people leader programs
- Engage Teams – Engaging teams to thrive and foster a culture of collaboration, communication and trust through recognition programs and targeted culture building programs
- Sustainable Design – Enabling success through design that drives productivity and performance including workforce planning.
The Coordinator, Leadership & Organisational Development collaborates with the L & OD teams and the broader People and Culture portfolio to support to all programs and initiatives designed to build capable leaders and engaged team members. The Coordinator provides hands-on support to enable effective delivery of the people strategy through the effective planning and delivery of workshops, resources and materials and communications both internally and externally.
As a Coordinator, you will:
- Work with team members to coordinate all organisational development programs, initiatives and supporting materials to meet set objectives
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders (including vendors) and program participants in a timely and effective way
- Identify and collaborate on system and process improvement opportunities
- Provide dedicated coordination of programs across the employee lifecycle
- Collaborates with the team to define the processes, tasks and resources required to achieve team goals
To be successful, you’ll have:
- A Degree with substantial subsequent relevant experience; or
- Extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Extensive experience in administration and related activities in a large and complex organisation
- Experience in project management and ability to manage stakeholders to achieve project outcomes
- Experience within the higher education sector (highly desirable)
