The School of Nursing at Boise State University invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor position. This is a non-tenure-track clinical faculty role with a primary focus on teaching and clinical instruction.

Clinical faculty are responsible for teaching students in didactic, laboratory/simulation, and clinical settings, supervising clinical experiences, and engaging in professionally related service and community engagement that supports the mission of the School of Nursing. While clinical faculty may engage in research or scholarship, research is not a required component of the regular workload for this position.

The successful candidate will hold national certification as a Nurse Practitioner, with a strong background in nurse practitioner education and clinical practice. This role requires demonstrated technological competence and the ability to effectively deliver instruction using learning technologies in online and hybrid teaching environments.

Clinical faculty typically teach the equivalent of 12 credit hours of didactic and clinical/lab/simulation coursework per semester, representing approximately 80% of the assigned workload, with the remaining effort dedicated to service activities such as program support, student mentoring, curriculum development, and professional service.
