Agriculture Technician in Richmond Campus
An Agriculture Technician performs a variety of tasks to support the Meadowbrook Farm agricultural science program and the multiple enterprises managed by EKU Farms. The position is responsible for more technical or complex tasks such as, but not limited to: agriculture laboratory procedures using a variety of laboratory equipment for field study, stock experiments, preparation of samples for laboratory analysis, maintenance of production experiments records, maintenance and operation of farm equipment, documents crop and weather conditions and recommends timing for planting, cultivation, and harvesting, and is responsible for more complex animal husbandry duties, such as overseeing animal birthing/delivery and handling semen collection/breeding.
