Position Summary:
The Cybersecurity Business Analyst will support project initiatives by acting as a vital bridge between the Cybersecurity team and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication to enhance organizational security posture. In this pivotal role, you will engage with business units, project stakeholders, and external vendors to gather, clarify, and translate cybersecurity requirements and processes into detailed documentation and actionable conceptual designs. These will guide the development, implementation, and management of secure solutions. Additionally, you will contribute to the creation of business cases, pre-feasibility studies, and feasibility documentation, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity objectives and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilties:
Analyse, document, and manage business requirements specifically for Cyber Transformation projects.
Engage with departments across the organization to ensure project alignment and successful outcomes.
Bring intermediate to expert-level knowledge in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and implementation best Practice.
Support project initiatives by acting as a vital bridge between the Cybersecurity team and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication to enhance organizational security posture.
contribute to the creation of business cases, pre-feasibility studies, and feasibility documentation, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity objectives and strategic goals.
Apply understanding of security frameworks and best practices such as ISM, NIST, AESCSF, ISO27001 and SOCI to align with regulatory needs.
Identify, recommend, and implement enhancements to current systems and processes based on regulatory requirements.
Work closely with Change Management teams to ensure smooth adoption and transition phases.
Support Operational Readiness and HyperCare phases post-implementation.
Project Support: Partner with the Project Manager to provide insights on scheduling and reporting; collaborate with interdependent project teams, both technical and business oriented.
Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization with an emphasis on clear, effective communication and facilitation.
Leverage analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
A solid technical foundation is highly desirable.
Proficient in documenting business requirements and skilled in tools like JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with a high-performing team.
Organize, facilitate, and minute effective and structured meetings and workshops
Effectively manage changes to requirements using agreed processes
Assessment of proposed functional solutions to determine which solution best fits the business need, identify gaps and shortcomings in solutions, and determine necessary workarounds or changes to the solution
What we are looking for:
Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Business Analysis, Information Security/Technology
Training and/or Certifications in Information Security, Data Privacy areas are highly regarded.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience

Active Directory & Entra ID
Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio) skills
Zero Trust Architecture, DevOps Security Practice
Highly developed administration and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to identify, report and scope changes and issues
Proven experience defining and implementing practical business solutions
Ability to develop and lead users through discovery sessions
Familiar with risk frameworks and experienced in embedding risk management practices.
Ability to work to tight project timeframes
Knowledge of data lifecycle
Key Accountabilities:

Successfully prepare detailed Requirements Documents, Process Flows, and any other Business Analysis documentation as required
Assist the business in developing efficient operating procedures
Review all business material and technical specifications

Ensure any software or process meets the business needs
Ensure appropriate documentation is provided to ensure any requirements are integrated into the software and/or process
Document all business requirements as per communications with business subject matter experts and other stakeholders
Document legacy processes and systems as required
Ensure process changes are communicated to the business and meet compliance needs
3. Time Management
Ensures all project schedules are met
Receives overall customer satisfaction with the service provided
All general day-to-day activities and project deadlines are met
4. Customer Service and Teamwork
All queries from customers are responded to in a timely manner
Receive positive feedback from customers
Successfully liaises with key business representatives and management to identify critical business requirements
Successfully assists team members in developing practical business processes and software solutions
5. Compliance with all processes and procedures, as outlined in company policies/procedures
Complies with policies and procedures
Reports any breach of policy or concerns
