The opportunity:
The role of National Maintenance and Modernisation Manager at Symbion presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact on our national operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and continuous improvement of our automated and non-automated warehouse systems. This position offers the chance to lead modernisation projects, develop and implement preventative maintenance programs, and drive design improvements that enhance productivity and profitability. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of Operations Managers and Technical Officers, influencing best practices and working towards consistent national standards. Additionally, you will be instrumental in reducing facility breakdowns, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing risk minimization strategies.
What you will do:
Maintain maximum economic uptime of systems currently in place.
Review third-party maintenance contracts to ensure alignment, consistency, best practice, compliance with industry standards, adherence to SLAs, and value for money.
Provide advice and assistance on maintenance programs, automation, major repairs, and technical challenges.
Drive modernisation projects in fire prevention systems, cold chain & air-conditioning management, automation, and preventative maintenance management.
Collaborate with Warehouse Technical Officers and Operations Managers to influence best practices and work towards consistent National SOPs.
Liaise with Operations Managers and Technical Officers to reduce facility breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement risk minimisation improvements.
Develop strategies for design improvements to enhance productivity and profitability.
Establish site relationships, understand site issues, and assist with solutions.
Facilitate monthly forums for warehouse Technical Officers to discuss breakdowns and future projects.
What we are looking for :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Maintenance and Modernisation Manager to join our dynamic team. Ideally you will have experience in warehouse automation and electrical qualifications. This role is crucial for coordinating asset improvement, fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance across all sites. You will prepare business cases, assist finance with capital forecasting, and review the performance of essential warehouse systems to identify risks and opportunities.
