LCRA's Survey, GIS and Technical Services department is looking for a student with interest in land surveying who wants to get real world experience on a variety of projects and survey applications. You will be trusted to:
Key functions include: • Performs computer-aided drafting of survey data, including plotting field data and deed record information. • Prepares survey maps and plats. • Supports field crew activities to ensure efficient field survey operations. Interprets survey or engineering drawings for field personnel. • Writes field note descriptions for review by Registered Professional Land Surveyor. • Researches county deed records and tax appraisal office records to determine ownership. • Assists Survey Field Crew in performing survey field work as necessary.

You qualify with:
• Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent. • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college program in freshman year or has completed freshman year and will be starting sophomore year.
You are a great fit with:
• Knowledge of Civil3D and other Autodesk products • Knowledge of Leica Infinity • Knowledge of coordinate geometry calculations • Knowledge of the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and other Office Suite of programs. • Knowledge of researching, reading, interpreting and understanding deeds and legal descriptions. • Knowledge of field surveying procedures with conventional total stations, GPS, differential levels, laser scanning, etc.
