Transmission Operational Intelligence is hiring a Business Systems Analyst to join our fast-paced team. Our primary systems that this position will support are Jira, Microsoft SQL Server, and the Microsoft Power Platform. This position collaborates with Transmission departments to design workflows, automations, visualizations and reporting with a focus on efficient and effective designs.

You will be trusted to:

- Act as the liaison between business departments and technical staff to enable technical solutions to business needs, either through development of new software or through purchase and configuration of software. May assist in developing business cases for technical solutions and may participate in build vs. buy decisions on technology project teams.
- Assist in the analysis of business operations to understand process strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate/improve processes and functions.
- Document business requirements to be used in developing technical solutions. Manage changes to system requirements from project initiation to final implementation to ensure that requirements have been met.
- When specializing in a particular application, partners with technology staff and vendors as needed in software development, configuration and/or upgrade/enhancement efforts. Act as project team member. Assist in configuring purchased software to desired functionality.
- Support end users of the application in areas such as: reviewing and auditing user access, assisting in designing training materials, training end-users, delivering reports in support of business operations, maintaining online system documentation, researching and correcting moderately complex system errors and tracking system issues and resolutions.
- Perform testing to ensure proper operation of the system. May develop test plans and test cases.
- May assist in the development and implementation of standardized procedures for business systems analysis, business process mapping and business requirements documentation.
- Use SQL to analyze data and provide reporting and visualizations

You qualify with:

- Four or more years of experience in developing and documenting business requirements and serving as a liaison between business partners & IT or other relevant experience. A degree(s) in business, computer science, information systems or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

You are a great fit with:

- Advanced SQL skills
- Jira administration experience (JQL)
- Experience reporting on Maximo data sets
- Advanced Power BI Skills
- Advanced Power Automate skills
- Oracle and MS SQL Server experience

This position may be filled at a I, II or Senior level based on experience.
