We are looking for an outstanding business development manager to deliver wireless communication services in Texas! Our team is seeking someone who is excited about LCRA’s mission of public service, who will be committed to delivering telecom solutions that foster economic development, protect critical infrastructure, and support public safety. LCRA designs and delivers reliable “middle mile” broadband communications services in central Texas, and the business development manager would develop partnerships with “last mile” providers of wired and wireless high speed internet.
You will be trusted to:
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing and potential customers. - Advise LCRA staff and management of potential issues of critical importance to LCRA's customers. Collaborate with internal staff and management to develop solutions to meet customer needs. - Assess the business practices of each potential and current customer. Develop a thorough understanding of and insight into the customers’ business needs, operations, processes and strategies. - Develop a marketing plan which includes target customers and analysis; maintains a clean and growing opportunity pipeline in CRM. - Update and maintain marketing tools (i.e. presentations, demonstration devices, etc.). Keep informed of current industry technology, standards and regulatory requirements and how they apply to business development. Assist in developing, updating and maintaining fee schedules and cost projections. - As applicable, assist customers in adopting secure wireless solutions. Make service recommendations based upon customer needs analysis. Develop and present innovative proposals and delivers strategic presentations. Prepare quotations and negotiate terms of service. - As applicable, prepare or assist in preparing contracts, proposals and quotes. Coordinate and assist in the technical review of contracts with internal stakeholders. Review customer objectives and ensure that LCRA is able to meet or exceed those requirements. Coordinate with legal, finance and operational areas to ensure contract compliance and proper billing of services. - Act as the LCRA liaison on projects for assigned customers. Demonstrate LCRA values, answer customer questions and concerns and assist with issue resolution. Ensure that all services are carried out within agreed upon terms and timing schedules to the level expected by both LCRA and the customer. - Assist in budgeting and forecasting revenues and expenses for customer accounts. - Travel approximately 25-50% of your work time to customer locations and events. Access to a company vehicle is provided.
You qualify with:
- Nine or more years of experience in operational area related to assigned accounts, account management, contract administration, billing, accounting/bookkeeping, customer service, public relations, business development or business process consulting or relevant experience. A degree(s) in business, communications, marketing, public relations, government affairs, political science, technical area of specialty or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience. - Driver's license
You are a great fit with:
- 6+ years of experience in sales, marketing, sales development or sales operations, with relevant experience in account management, contracts, billing, customer success, public relations, business development or business process consulting. - 3+ years of experience selling broadband fiber is strongly desired. - Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are highly preferred. - Can be based in Austin, Seguin, or La Grange areas.
