In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair protective relays and related equipment. You will work with a team of expert technicians to ensure the reliability of our electric grid.

You will be trusted to:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and systems.
- Install, maintain, and test protective relays and other electrical equipment.
- Provide technical support to other LCRA employees and customers.
- Maintain and update knowledge of electrical protection testing principles and practices.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Meet all safety and quality standards.

You qualify with:
- Three or more years of experience in the construction and/or maintenance of power substation protection, diagnostic, monitoring and/or control systems or other relevant experience. A degree(s) in electrical power theory, electronics, instrumentation, controls, computer science or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Driver’s license
You are a great fit with:
- Commissioning and maintaining protective devices in electric transmission substations operating above 69kV experience
- Electro-mechanical and microprocessor-based protective relays experience
- Doble F6150 test sets and Enoserv RTS testing software experience
