Lead and shape memorable experiences as the Director of Event Services at North Idaho College. In this dynamic role, you’ll oversee all aspects of campus events, from strategic planning to day-of execution, ensuring each event runs smoothly, safely, and in alignment with the college’s mission to engage students, staff, and the broader community.
You’ll develop departmental vision, operational procedures, and budgets while managing and mentoring a dedicated team. Your responsibilities include scheduling and coordinating events, managing contracts and invoicing, collaborating with internal departments and external vendors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and accessibility standards. You’ll also serve as a hands-on leader - conducting site tours, setting up and breaking down event spaces, generating safety plans, and acting as the on-site liaison during events. Post-event evaluations and reporting are integral to continually improving service and impact.
We’re looking for a strategic, organized, and personable professional who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. You'll bring strong leadership skills with experience recruiting, supervising, and evaluating staff. Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and customer service abilities are essential, as is the ability to collaborate across teams and engage effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Comfort with technology, proficiency in scheduling systems, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a professional demeanor are critical to success. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional off-site events is required.
If you are passionate about delivering high-quality events, leading teams, and creating positive experiences for a diverse college community, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to make an impact.
