North Idaho College is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Adjunct Professor of Medical Laboratory Technology to join our dedicated team of health science educators. This position plays a vital role in preparing the next generation of laboratory professionals by teaching up to 9 credits of online didactic and/or in-person laboratory courses. Course topics may include Hematology and Hemostasis, Transfusion Medicine, Medical Lab Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Parasitology, Lab Operations, Internship and Capstone Seminar, and more. You’ll collaborate regularly with the Idaho Consortium of Medical Laboratory Technology Education (ICMLTE) and work closely with program leadership to support accreditation, curriculum updates, and student outcomes assessment.
In this role, you’ll design and deliver engaging instruction, maintain weekly office hours, and help ensure that our lab experiences are rigorous and equivalent across delivery methods. You’ll also be responsible for preparing and maintaining lab environments, staying up to date with industry standards, and participating in recruitment and outreach.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field and three years full-time equivalent experience working in a clinical laboratory and/or closely related field is required. Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of students, faculty, and staff from multi-cultural backgrounds.
Required License and/or Certifications:
Must be a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), or be able to obtain MLS (or equivalent certification) within one year of hire.
Starting pay range: $1000 per credit
Work Site Location: Coeur d' Alene Campus
Work Schedule: teaches up to 9 credits per semester
North Idaho College does not have a vaccine requirement. However, many of our nursing and health professions, are subject to federal or local hospital vaccine requirements.
