The Opportunity

The Manager, External Engagement leads the external engagement initiatives in the School of Science to achieve its priorities in education and research. The incumbent contributes in the delivery of the School of Science’s industry and government partner engagement and research business development that includes managing a range of strategic and operational activities including the identification and cultivation of industry and government research opportunities aligned to school strategic research priorities; the provision of advice and support to the academic researchers for development and execution of contracts, consultancies, tenders and industry-related grants in line with University processes; and the coordination of other external engagement initiatives as they arise across the School of Science and University. The incumbent also drives the implementation of future student recruitment and alumni relations strategies, programs and initiatives aligned with the School and University’s strategic objectives.

Reporting Line: The position reports to Senior School Manager.
