The Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) at UMW seeks applications from established professionals to serve as Industry Fellows to help students explore career interests, discover opportunities, and prepare for life after UMW, grounded in a specific professional field.
Industry Fellows are expected to remain current on hiring practices and trends and will support the work of the CCPD by providing comprehensive career counseling and coaching services to students and alumni. Industry Fellows will engage with individuals to identify their career goals, develop job search strategies, review career-related documents (e.g. resumes, CVs, and cover letters) and prepare for interviews. In addition, Industry Fellows may be asked to participate in career-related events.
Fellows are expected to dedicate an average of four (4) hours per week to this position during the fall and spring semesters when classes are in session. |

The Student Retention Specialist provides support services for students to promote retention and academic success. This position will engage students with a variety of student services activities to promote progression toward graduation through ongoing partnerships with multiple student success offices.
