In Melbourne, water is essential to our way of life.
As caretakers for Melbourne’s water cycle, we care for water, life and land throughout Melbourne: both its people and its biodiversity.
Each time you drink from the tap, flush a toilet, run through a backyard sprinkler, or kayak down the Yarra, we’re there. Primed and ready, quietly delivering some of the world’s cleanest water for over five million residents and wildlife that call Melbourne home, just as we have for over 130 years.
If you value making it count, diving in with curiosity, and doing what’s right, you're in the right place.
This full time dynamic role is based from our Silvan site, however the geographic area extends from the Thomson Dam in Gippsland, through the Dandenong Ranges to central Melbourne and down the Mornington Peninsula. Due to the large amount of travel required for the role you will be supplied with an operational vehicle.
Reporting to the Head of Water Supply you will be responsible for leading teams to ensure the delivery of safe, reliable, and efficient water storage, treatment, and transfer services for our retail customers. You will also oversee the management of drainage pump stations that serve local communities and are responsible for driving operational excellence and sustainability across all facets of the water supply network.
We are looking for an experienced leader who can manage incident responses including Incident Control and Duty Manager roster requirements, as well as oversight of management systems (Quality, Environment, HACCP, Safety and MHF).
