In the role of Database Services Manager, you will join the Managed Infrastructure Services team that’s doubling down on customer obsession.

In this Database Services Manager role, you will

• Drive the strategic centralisation of NABs database estate towards a modern DBMS platform, with PostgreSQL as the target state
• Bring proven experience in Database DevOps practices and techniques with a talent for automation
• Lead Database platform design as we modernise and centralise the disparate database instances, across multiple DBMS engines
• Lead the self-managed to centralised platform database migration strategy, leveraging automation and migration DevOps / scripts to minimise Asset Owner interaction, effort and change cost
• Cultivate a team culture of innovation with customer experience at its core
• Confident in Executive forums and in exercising business acumen  

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need:  

• Database DevOps techniques and automation experience
• Prior experience with database replication technology strongly preferred
• Demonstrable database release using schema migrations scripts / tools
• Database IaaS and PaaS deployments
• Expert cloud engineering in combination with infrastructure and configuration as code
• Exceptional and proven people leadership
