About the Role

The TQEH Mental Health Rehabilitation Service provides high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation services to support consumer recovery and independence. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in delivering expert Social Work services, providing advanced clinical assessments, interventions, and consultancy within a multidisciplinary team. You will contribute to service development, mentor staff and students, and engage with consumers, families, and external services to enhance recovery outcomes. This role offers an opportunity to provide clinical leadership while working within a dynamic and consumer-centred rehabilitation environment.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Qualifications & Experience: A recognised Social Work degree with eligibility for full membership of the AASW, along with extensive experience providing clinical Social Work services in mental health settings.
  • Advanced Clinical Skills: Expertise in psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and group work, crisis intervention, and family therapy.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to provide clinical leadership, supervision, and consultation within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a strong Social Work identity.
  • Commitment to Best Practice: Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, mental health policies, and evidence-based rehabilitation approaches, with a dedication to ongoing professional development and service improvement.
