Job Summary: The Intern gains experience that supports an individual's current or anticipated education/major. This classification can be used for non-UA students who are working at UA for a short-term assignment. Performs various duties for a department in support of a program, event or other sponsored activity. To be used for short-term assignments only.
Additional Department Summary: Plans, coordinates, and assists with APC field projects.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Some experience related to the responsibilities of the assignment(s).
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; OR individuals currently enrolled in college.
Skills and Knowledge: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.
