Job Summary: The Construction Field Compliance Manager verifies contractor compliance with construction contract requirements and University guidelines for project execution. Monitors project sites at a high-level for contractor adherence to construction contracts and participate in owner inspections, including Certificate of Substantial Completion and Certificate of Occupancy, and provide documentation of findings.
Additional Department Summary: Verifies contractor compliance with construction contract requirements and University guidelines for project execution across Campus Development projects.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and seven (7) years of construction, engineering, and/or project management experience; OR master’s degree and five (5) years of construction, engineering, and/or project management experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
Skills and Knowledge: Strong communication skills to interact with the contractor community and internal staff as necessary. Ability to solve problems and make recommendations that adhere to applicable policies and procedures. Ability to read construction documents and prioritize multiple objectives.
Preferred Qualifications: Five (5) years of General Superintendent experience. Considerable and progressively more responsible experience in the field of construction management, some of which shall have included recent experience in a public institution. Understanding of CAD/REVIT and GIS technology. ICS Certifications.
