This position is currently on an 8 year tiered pay scale, with an .89 cent increase per year. At the start of the 9th year, the rate of pay will increase to the cap wage. The current cap wage is $19.47/hr. The work schedule for this position will be Sunday - Thursday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm with a half hour unpaid lunch.

The successful candidate will become the inaugural holder of the Dorothy and Thomas Jegla Chair in Environmental Studies and will complement current faculty strengths in ecosystem ecology, biogeochemistry, environmental economics, environmental policy, and human ecology. The Kenyon College English Department invites applications from distinguished, mid-career teachers and writers for an endowed chair in creative writing, to begin in August 2019. Appointment rank will depend on prior experience. A preference will be given to writers of fiction and/or nonfiction prose, especially in innovative subfields such as graphic, speculative, or young adult literary fiction. A successful candidate will already have earned significant public recognition.
