We’re seeking a passionate and experienced leader to join our TSCO (Transformation, Sustainability & Customer Operations) Risk & Compliance team as a Risk & Compliance Manager. In this role, you will play a key role in performing key Risk & Compliance activities for the TSCO department. This department performs various activities, including Financial Crime, Customer Fraud, Payments, Safer Gambling, Customer Operations, Privacy, and KYC.
As a Risk & Compliance Manager, you will:
- Shape a Winning Culture - Collaborate across teams to build and maintain strong control environments, effectively managing risks and compliance obligations that foster trust and transparency for customers, colleagues, and partners.
- Elevate Our Risk Management Strategy - Support Sportsbet’s risk and compliance frameworks by providing subject matter expertise, guiding control enhancements, and mitigating operational risks.
- Build a World-Class Approach - Ensure alignment with the robust policies and frameworks of Flutter Entertainment Group, a leading NYSE-listed company, setting the standard for excellence in risk and compliance management.
Key responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading by example as a mentor and coach, supporting your team’s growth and helping colleagues build their skills and confidence.
- Building strong, trusted relationships across the business and acting as a go-to advisor on risk mitigation, compliance, and control design.
- Partnering with business teams to provide practical, risk-focused advice that drives the successful delivery of new initiatives.
- Playing a key role in shaping and delivering strategic risk and compliance projects as part of the wider team’s objectives.
- Keeping up to date with regulatory changes, identifying operational risks, and ensuring our controls are effective and fit for purpose.
- Conducting thorough control testing, reporting findings clearly, and working with management to ensure agreed actions are implemented.
- Managing incidents swiftly and efficiently, while overseeing training programs to keep the team compliant and informed.
- Leading the coordination of internal and external audits to maintain strong assurance standards.
- Using data analytics to uncover insights that support smarter risk management and business decisions.
About you
What We’re Looking For
- You bring hands-on experience in risk management, compliance, or assurance, with a strong background in audits (Big 4 experience highly valued). Experience in gambling or other highly regulated sectors is a distinct advantage.
- You are confident engaging stakeholders at all levels, able to clearly articulate risks and compliance requirements, and skilled at influencing positive change across the organisation.
- You excel at identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, designing robust controls, and leveraging data analytics to drive informed decision-making.
- You prioritise the customer experience, challenge the status quo with fresh ideas, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- You hold relevant certifications in Risk, Compliance, Law, or Internal Audit, demonstrating your commitment to professional excellence.
