The Research Translation Acceleration Project Manager will support the implementation and day-to-day operations of an NSF-funded Accelerating Research Translation (ART) grant awarded to Lehigh University.  They will work closely with the PI and the project leadership team to plan, execute, communicate, assess, and report on all of the activities affiliated with the development, operation, and continuous enhancement of a Lehigh University-based Research Translation Acceleration Ecosystem. This position is a Grade: 11-40 with an approximate salary range of $81,450-$99,080 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications

1. Project Management

•Work with the PI and project leadership team to plan, organize, execute, and continuously enhance all aspects of a Lehigh University based Research Translation Acceleration Ecosystem.
•Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with the grant team, administrators, faculty, and staff to advise and oversee the operations of the program.
•Develop and maintain a project plan that assures that all components and initiatives related to the ecosystem are optimally progressing and continuously improving.

2. Support the design, implementation, and evaluation of training and professional development activities for graduate students, postdocs, and faculty

•Functions include providing support in areas such as course/training module scheduling, site selection, participant recruitment, and follow-up/assessment.

3. Budget and financial management

•Develop, manage, and track budgets and resources to assure efforts are in compliance with the project goals, guidelines and commitments.
•With an understanding of the reporting requirements, set up budget indexes and account code categories within Lehigh’s banner system.
•Reconcile research accounts on a monthly basis in coordination with local others, as necessary.

4. Records management and report preparation

•Ensure program compliance with government regulations, university policies and IRB and IACUC requirements (if applicable,) and prepares reports
•Ensure data management reports are generated and distributed in a timely fashion
•Assist PI in the preparation and submission of interim and final research grant reports in coordination with Research Accounting

5. Meeting coordination

•Plan and when appropriate attend and lead meetings. Document meeting outcomes and action items through the preparation and dissemination of accurate meeting minutes.
•Organize seminars, external visitor agendas, workshops, colloquia, conferences, and other professional project meetings.
•Serve as point of contact for project teams, meeting attendees and/or collaborating institutions

6. Communication

•Develop and implement a communication plan to keep the full Lehigh research translation acceleration team (including external mentors) informed regarding plans, activities, and progress.
•Prepare communications regarding the program for external and internal audiences.
•Maintain active and mutually beneficial communications with the network of project managers at other NSF ART funded institutions.

The duties of this position may allow the employee to work partially remote as deemed appropriate by their supervisor 

Qualifications

•Master's Degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Five to eight years of related work experience

•Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an operational or administrative role working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
