In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the education, investigation, and compliance efforts associated with the University's obligations under equal opportunity and non-discrimination laws and regulations. Your focus will be on ensuring adherence to federal laws such as Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Violence Against Women Act Reauthorization of 2012 (VAWA), and the SaVE Act, as well as related University policies.

This position is a Grade: 12 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $103,300-125,660 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and coordinate the University's compliance with Title VI and Title IX, including managing investigations of discrimination complaints, conducting interviews, reviewing documentation, and making recommendations.
• Collaborate with campus partners to promote a safe, equitable campus climate and ensure clear communication of compliance efforts.
• Track, monitor, and evaluate the effectiveness of responses and initiatives related to Title VI and IX, making improvements as needed.
• Manage daily compliance activities related to non-discrimination laws and regulations, ensuring effective response to complaints and continuous improvement of efforts.
• Stay informed of current laws, regulations, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to institutional processes.
• Support inclusive hiring by coordinating outreach to attract diverse applicant pools.
• Design, develop, and deliver institution-wide training on equal opportunity and non-discrimination, tailored to faculty, staff, and students.
• Provide guidance on compliance with equal opportunity laws in recruitment, training, and retention practices.
• Collaborate with key campus partners, including HR, Inclusive Excellence, Student Affairs, and Athletics, to coordinate and implement targeted training initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree; Doctoral Degree in Public Policy or a Juris Doctor preferred
• Three to five years related work experience
• At least three years of employment in an equal opportunity management position is required
• Equal Opportunity experience in higher education is strongly preferred
